From Koh Phi Phi to Bamboo Island

A short ride by long-tail boat from Koh Phi Phi, the tropical Bamboo Island welcomes visitors with a mix of secluded and more popular beaches, from rocky coves to stretches of soft white sand. All are surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea and vibrant coral reefs. Covered with bamboo and casuarinas trees, tthe island is quite small, measuring just 600 m wide by 700 m long.

It’s an ideal place for snorkeling or simply swimming among colorful marine life, including “Nemo” -the clownfish made famous by Disney—along with parrotfish and even small reef sharks.
