EVA Air

Flying with Taiwan’s EVA Air for the first time was a pleasant surprise. Everything is done with the customer in mind, starting with the service and ending with the branding. “EVA” stands for Evergreen Airways.

The friendly EVA Air flight attendants moved efficiently up and down the aisles in elegant dark-cyan uniforms. During meal service, they wore pastel-colored aprons. “Watch out! The cart is coming!”

Slippers and Dental Floss Pick

A nice touch was the complimentary pair of slippers. On a 15-hour flight from Toronto to Taipei, those slippers were incredibly useful.

Even a dental floss pick was included with the meal. The variety of lotions and even fresh flowers in the washroom were details I had never seen on other airlines.

The airline also found a clever way to capture passengers’ attention during the safety briefing: an animated presentation with a touch of humor.
